Epic: Stories from the past for today... "The Buffet"

Read Matthew 14:13-21

An all-you-can-eat meal with Jesus shows us that…

1. God is always moved with compassion. (vv.13,14)

2. God is always looking to meet a need. (vv.16,17)

3. God is always using us to do the impossible. (v.19)

4. God is always exceeding our expectations. (v.20)

5. God is always encouraging us to believe.

GOING DEEPER

1. Remember a time when you trusted God for something, and He provided more than what you expected.

2. Read Ephesians 3:20,21. What do these verses say about what God is able to do in us?

3. Read Philippians 4:19. The word “meet” is pleero in Greek and means super abundantly. Read it again with that in mind. How does it change things?

4. Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-8. What further insight do these verses give us about our generosity and God's?

5. In what areas are you trusting God for His abundant provision? In what areas do you need to praise Him for it?
