Fear Doesn't Have the Final Word

Scripture: Exodus 16:1-3, Exodus 19:1, Exodus 31:18, Exodus 32:1-4, Numbers 13:27-32, Numbers 14:22, Numbers 14:34, Romans 5:1-5

  1. One month after God frees them from slavery the Israelites begin to loose sight of who God is. In three months they completely turn their backs on God. How does fear cause you to loose sight of who God is? Take time to write down how God has been and is being faithful in the midst of the mess?

  2. Moses and the people were punished and not allowed to enter the promised land and it seems like that is the end of their story. In really it shows us how much we need a savior. What can you give to Jesus this week that you have been trying to do in your own strength?

  3. God asks us to be people who faithfully obey. What simple acts of faithfulness can you do this week?

  4. Through this time Pastor Craig has challenged us to stay calm, stay connected, and to stay the course. How can you challenge yourself to follow through on these three things?

  5. One powerful message through Moses’ story is how he trains Joshua to take his place and lead the people into the promise land. With whom can you share what God is teaching you? Even as students how can we influence others into Christ like character?

We can’t give what we don’t have. If we don’t influence ourselves into Christ likeness we can’t influence others. I want to encourage all of you to spend more time with God to become more like Christ everyday. There are no more excuses, share the perfect love that casts out all fear.
